Dr. Niroshi Jayasena
Hi there! My name is Dr. Niroshi Jayasena and I am so excited to introduce myself and tell you a little about Horizon Doctors. I have been a General Practitioner for over 15 years now and I love every second of it. I always strive to help my patients with whatever their concerns may be, nothing is too big or too small! I am so grateful for the many connections I have made with my patients so far and I look forward to making many more!
My Story
A little bit about me! Starting my medicine studies in Sri Lanka, I was fortunate enough to move to Australia in 2006. Here I was able to graduate as a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and had the opportunity to work all over Victoria, including Goulburn Valley Health in Shepperton and Peninsula Health in Frankston.
I have always wanted to start up my own clinic someday and after years of planning I was finally able to open my brand new clinic Horizon Doctors. I owe a massive thankyou to my family and friends for helping and supporting me throughout the process.
Why did I name it Horizon Doctors? Deciding a name for my clinic was a tough choice, my family and I thought of so many names but none of them came close to Horizon Doctors. This name brings me back to my home country Sri Lanka. The beaches were so lovely there and I loved watching the sunsets on the horizon so it was only right for me to name the clinic after this!
Working alongside me at my clinic are my lovely receptionists, practice manager and nurse who are some of the most kindest and professional people I know. Thankyou for reading and I cannot wait to see you soon!
